We have a wide variety of after-school electives to enrich learning. Our goal is to work with families to provide the best educational environment for every child.  horizontal snake logo

Update from Mr. Boyle

July 1, 2020

Happy July to all Cottonwood Creek Charter School Families,

I wanted to provide an update to you regarding the start of school in August.  Cottonwood Creek Charter School is planning on starting as close to normal as possible on Monday, August 17th.  Realizing that some of our plans may change due to COVID, we will be providing weekly updates to you beginning the last week of July.  At present, we are planning on having our regular site class schedule with students attending Monday through Thursday from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  We are also planning on having our Homeschool Program operate the same way it did last year, with the exception that Homeschool students will now have an option of being on the school campus for one day a week (Wednesdays).  We also are planning on having our regular after school enrichment program begin the second week of school.

We are currently in the process of making some facility changes in our classrooms in order to make these plans a reality.  We have been removing furniture and purchasing individual desks so all site class students can be better spread apart inside the classrooms.  We are purchasing more outdoor tables in preparation for the preventative measures that will be taking place during lunch and recess.  We will be implementing new cleaning and sanitizing protocols this coming year that will include health and temperature screenings as well as increased hand sanitizing stations.  Currently, we will not be requiring students to wear a mask, although students will have the option to do so.

By the end of this month, our school board will be adopting a campus re-opening plan that will address all the changes that will take place on the campus in order for us to have a safe and successful start of school.  As soon as this plan is adopted we will be sharing it with you at the end of July or the first week of August.

I am so looking forward to seeing all our students back on campus in August.  Please continue to have a great summer and please be sure to go to our website at the end of the month to check out the latest school updates.

Have a great 4th of July!
